Open Bible's small group ministry seeks to glorify God by bringing people to membership in God's family, developing them to Christ-like maturity, and equipping them for ministry in the church and in their life mission. These groups meet regularly in a home environment to:
- Make disciples by presenting the gospel to those who are seeking
- Encourage one another to mature in the faith through the study and application of the Bible to every day life
- Identify our peoples' gifts and deploy them in the world for service
- Identify and apprentice leaders who will multiply the ministry of Christ
- Develop a distinct and biblical world-view
These groups vary in size, age and location. It is here that the body-life of the church is lived out through the development of intimate relationships, the discovery and use of spiritual gifts, the discipline of discipleship, the taking of the gospel into our world and beyond, and the calling of people to Christ.
These groups meet every week during the summer months and at least once a month during the school year for about two hours. The groups are led by gifted and trained leaders. Each group is as unique as the blend of interests, personalities, leaders and members. In these settings of Christian fellowship and community, we seek to live out in one another, the commands of the Bible and make visible the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
