In the sixth through the eighth grades we continue upon the learning we established in the elementary grades. All students have daily Bible classes where they learn scriptural doctrine and the application of the scriptures to daily living. All students also participate in weekly chapel services every Wednesday.
In Mathematics we continue with basic math and problem solving. Students who are ready can opt to take Algebra I in the eighth grade.
In English students learning how to diagram sentences to create proper sentence structure. Creative writing skills are also taught, and students learn how to edit their writing. Outside reading projects are assigned and students present oral and written book reports.
In History, we offer World Geography in grade five, New World Geography in grade six, Old World Geography in grade seven, and US History in grade eight.
Science continues in middle school with Earth Science, Biology and Chemistry courses. All students in grades six through eight participate in a yearly science fair.
Music courses are offered in instrumental band and choral singing. Field trips offered to middle school students can include trips to Washington DC, Gettysburg and Philadelphia Pennsylvania, and only our eighth graders have a special trip each year Williamsburg.
