Starting from the first day of Kindergarten we stress that the Bible is God's Holy Word, and that He speaks to us through His Word. All students from Kindergarten through High School participate in weekly chapel services.

In Kindergarten, we begin to work with our students on phonics. They learn to form and print letters and to recognize and write words. We also begin to work on basic comprehension and learning skills in Kindergarten. In the first grade we begin to teach students how to spell. Cursive writing is also introduced in the first grade.

Basic Math is started in Kindergarten with the recognition and printing of numbers. Counting skills are also introduced at this early stage. Recognition of money and learning to count with money is introduced in Kindergarten and continues into subsequent grades. These basic math skills are the foundation for the introduction of addition and subtraction in the second grade.

In the third grade, basic History is introduced. Our students also have art classes and a directed computer curriculum.

Students in Kindergarten have a daily recess time, while students in first and second grades have a recess time and Physical Education classes. Students in Kindergarten through Third also take various trips to places like the Baltimore Zoo, and the Fire museum.

In grades four through five we continue to expand on the training started in our lower grades. One of the most important things we begin to teach our students in this age group is to learn to know Christ personally as their Savior. We also begin to teach basic Christian evangelical skills.

Basic science, taught from a Godly perspective, is introduced in the fourth grade. In Language we continue with phonics and start to zero in on developing reading and comprehension skills. Students are assigned outside reading projects and present oral and written book reports. In the third grade, we begin teaching the essential rules of English grammar.

In Mathematics, we introduce the students to multiplication and division and begin to work on strengthen problem solving skills. Computer classes continue with more advanced computer skills. Instrumental music is offered as an option to students. We also offer private instrumental lessons at an additional cost.

In grades four through five, students take educational field trips to places like Mt. Vernon and Annapolis.
